The Sports Science Lab at the NTCSMI uses a combination
of equipment for biomechanical assessment.
Kinematic measurements are conducted using the Peak
Motus motion capture system. Body landmark locations are digitized
to collect and analyze data. Kinetic measurements are obtained through
the use of 2 AMTI OR6-6 platforms that are linked to the Peak Motus
system.
- Bike Position Imaging
- Our motion capture system allows us to create
a video and graphic image of you on your bike to evaluate
your bike setup.
- 3-D Gait and Cycling Analysis
- A 3-D video analysis utilizing our Peak Motus
software will allow our medical team to identify and make
recommendations regarding medical limitations and/or biomechanical
deficiencies that have or may result in injury.
- Swim Stroke - Flume Videotaping
& Stroke Analysis
- Our Endless Pool and 4 camera video system
allows us to “surround” your swim stroke with
cameras. Above water, surface, and underwater angles are all
utilized in the analysis. The indoor pool is a “flume”
type setup that provides for a very controlled environment
for analysis.
- Golf Swing Biomechanical Analysis
- A physical evaluation in conjunction with
3-D video analysis provide specific feedback and recommendations
- Throwing Biomechanical Analysis
- Overhead sport movements are evaluated
and analyzed for mechanical breakdowns or potential for injury
using 3-D video analysis.
